Architecture of Bowstreet applications Applications powered by Bowstreet Factory technology are all J2EE-based and run on industry standard J2EE application servers, such as IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic. In addition, Bowstreet applications are cleanly architected, following a Model-view-controller (MVC)-based design pattern and maintaining a clear separation between the presentation, process, and services layers. Bowstreet's service-oriented architecture enables companies to swap out different back-end systems and services without having to affect the process or presentation layers.
Distribution options Any application built using Bowstreet Factory technology can be distributed as a web application, WebSphere portlet, JSR-168 compliant portlet, web service, or syndicated application without any additional coding effort. Bowstreet utilizes Apache's AXIS, an open source implementation of SOAP, for web service creation.
Bowstreet Factory Designer Bowstreet's rapid application development tool, called the Designer, seamlessly plugs into the open-source Eclipse platform as well as IBM's WebSphere Studio Family of products.
Customization Wizards Bowstreet applications often include companion customization wizards, which enable non-technical users to dynamically modify and configure their applications, in real-time. These wizards are created using Bowstreet's Dynamic Profiling technology.
Integration Extensions Bowstreet Factory technology includes a set of integration extensions that enables quick and easy integration of data and processes from existing legacy systems, such SAP, Domino, PeopleSoft, and Siebel. Bowstreet also supports integration with any application with a Java or web services API. Bowstreet's full support for WSDL, SOAP, and XML schemas makes web service consumption extremely fast and easy.
